Family Coaching Model
Family Focused
Parents are a child’s first teacher and a crucial relationship in a child’s life. We want parents to feel confident in trying new techniques and empowering them to integrate activities into their daily lives.
Play Based Model
Play is the most important work of a child. It is how they build understanding about the world around them. We use play to build skills and relationships which help children achieve goals that might seem difficult.

Here is what to expect in a session with a Super Start Interventionist
Joint Planning At the beginning of each visit, you and your interventionist will talk about priorites and goals. You will get to share what you have tried and what did and did not work.
Observation Your interventionist will watch you and your child play and interact in the things that you do every day. We might show you a strategy to use and then ask you to try it.
Action We will help families practice new ways to engage with your child in their daily routine and help you find ways to practice on your own.
Reflection We want to know what has worked and has not worked. Then we can continue to modify strategies.
Joint Planning At the end of the visit, you and your interventionist will come up with a plan together on things you can practice with your child between visits.
